Do we have a thread for toys? I don't think we do.

I try not to buy too many of them - I pretty much stick to DC Direct stuff, and cool looking Marvel Legends or DC Universe Classics.

Recent (last couple of months) purchases:

*I just picked up the RobotMan from DCUC, after an extensive search of Wal-marts (four or five). It's neat.

*DC Direct All-Star Superman

*DC Direct Armor Batman (Dustin Nguyen design)

Anyone else sucked into this stuff?

I have one of these on my desk at work:

And one of these as well:

I've been eyeballing this at my local comic shop and will probably be getting it soon:

Those are cool.

Apparently, my local Wal-mart got a shipment of all of the DCU toys I was looking for, which makes me special searches seem a little silly.

I also have three BATMAN: BLACK & WHITE statues: Pope, Wagner and Risso. I forgot to preorder the Bermejo which comes out in January. I did remember to preorder the Quitely one for May. (I'm wondering how DCBS will ship it.)

I found a bunch of unopened toys in my closet and dropped some off at Toys-For-Tots.

Nice! And now I'm reminded to get that Hellboy set this weekend.

Go get it!

I saw the new set of DCU toys and knew that if I skipped on The Question this week I'd miss my window.

I missed this in the solicitations but I think I might pick it up:

Oh, and my LCS had a 35% sale a couple of weeks ago so I picked up the Bermejo BATMAN: B&W statue. Meaghan was not too pleased with me...

Managed to get MIB New Frontier Green Arrow and Blackhawk on Sunday after the store broke up the set they had. Got the rest of the series 1 figures in the gift box, so I just need to complete series 2 aside from Flash. There was a complete set at Comic Odyssey, but I wasn't willing to double-dip. Maybe I should've bought the set then sold the double...ordering figures from the U.S. would kill me in shipping cost.

Yeah, I feel like with toys, it's a "now or never" kind of deal. I don't live in a big city anymore so I need to snatch up stuff while I can. That can backfire, though - the LCS manager cornered me yesterday to buy some more statues (25% off one, 50% off the second) but I couldn't justify it. I already annoyed Meaghan with the Bermejo statue.

I really want the Timm and Quitely Batman B&W statues, but the Mazzucchelli one I got is so perfect, and the expense so unjustifiable, that I doubt it'll ever happen...

You can find the Timm one on eBay for 35-40 bucks. I keep looking for a decently priced Mazzucchelli. It's a very iconic pose.

I preordered the Quitely one and @ 32% off it wasn't too bad. That will be my fifth. Next up, I need to find a place to keep them. Shelf-space in my house is limited.

That sounds like a really great collection of statues. I'd probably keep them behind glass cabinet doors.

Yesterday my cat spilled my Starbucks all over a dozen comics, so I'm a little leery right now.

Stopped by Comic Odyssey yesterday and they still had the series 2 set. Guess no one else wants it or maybe only need one or two figures. Hopefully it'll still be there when I have money to burn. Should start selling on ebay.ph again.

I'm "looking into" the cabinet thing (meaning I've thought about it and my wife scowled at me when I mentioned it). but we'll see. Maybe Ikea has something cool.
