Apparently they're making one.

Coming to Cartoon Network sometime in 2012.

The Kung Fu Panda and Penguins of Madagascar shows are pretty good actually (Penguins is actually waaaaay better than the source material) so it can be done.

But only by Nickelodeon, apparently.

As far as Disney goes, I always liked that they usually got most of the voice talent back together for the shows, and Lilo and Stitch in particular hewed pretty closely to the original source material. Aladdin turned out pretty nicely, particularly as Dan Castellaneta made a great Genie.

Over on Kung Fu Panda, I'm stunned at just how good the replacement voice actors are. I cannot detect any difference at all between Fred Tatasciore and Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, and the fill-ins for Po and Mantis are very nearly perfect.

The only voices on Panda that I can readily tell the difference with are Tigress (who doesn't sound even kinda sorta like Angelina Jolie) and Crane. Otherwise, they're very good.

The Kung Fu Panda voices are really excellent.  The first time I saw the show I had to look up the voice actors to make sure they really weren't the stars from the movie.

Jay Baruchel is doing voice work for the DRAGONS TV show, but I haven't seen whether or not the other people from the movie will be back or not.

Anybody been watching this? Not bad, I wasn't a huge fan of the film but stil pliked it a lot. Chris edgerly does a great Craig Ferguson, and with the exception of Jonah Hill the kids are all voiced by the actors from the movie. Of of two minds about that though, McLovin, Ugly betty, and Jay Baruchel are all actors I want to see more from wheras Jonah Hill could diseapear tommorow I and I'd only be sad for his family not miss him in movies. Still this is a fun show and I'm enjoying it what does everyone else think.

We've been enjoying it a lot.  I'm glad they've kept the main 2 actors.  It's a shame they couldn't get Butler & Ferguson to voice Stoik & Gobber, but you're right that the impressions being done of them are pretty damn good.

Edgerly in particular is great; until the end credits of the first ep I thought it WAS Ferguson.

I spent all of last episode trying to pinpoint Alvin the Treacherous' voice, and once the credits came up I felt damn stupid. The laugh alone gives it away.

(Mark Hamill, for those who care, basically playing the Joker with a vague north European accent added on.)
