Latest ep was decent apart from one gaffe: "Dalmore was Claude's favourite whisky." In that case why were you pouring a Glencallan?

I don't know, they didn't really fit the tone of Burn Notice and at this point is feels like Horatio Caine impressions are a litttle, I don't know, over-done.

Sorry Cameron, I have to agree with Ted. They made me laugh and I thought of this place immediatly. I even wish they had really gone over the top and used the song!

I love Burn Notice...

Were the David Caruso jabs just the two times with Bruce Campbell or did I miss some?

It was just the Campbell lines.  Any more than that I think would've been too much.

I just got a chance to watch the latest episode of Burn Notice.  Was eating lunch while doing so.  Truly choked and everything the first time Bruce Campbell did the CSI:Miami bit.  It was great.

Just as a general observation, I find it interesting that most of the shows I've really enjoyed this season are on USA (Burn Notice, White Collar), FX (Damages) and TNT (Leverage, The Closer).

I have only seen a handfull of CSI Miami but you only have to see one to get a laugh from the refrences. You should watch one just for the comedy of it.

He doesn't need to see a full episode, just these 7 minutes.

Okay, I had never seen any CSI:M, but knew about the gag from reading about it here.  What I didn't know was that there was such significance to THE WHO having performed "Won't Get Fooled Again" at the Super Bowl in Miami!  Thanks for the video.

We had some friends over for Superbowl and one of my friends brought their 18 year old daugher and her friend. While we were jamming to The Who and rememembering the music, the girls piped up with "Oh, these are the CSI songs!" Yeah... felt kinda old at that moment.

I felt that way in the minute it took me to remember he was playing a CSI worker in Miami, and that was good enough justification for the funny for me.

What I like about this show is their season ender isn't some 'life or death' cliff-hanger.  I probably said the same thing this time last year :)

I agree. But where the hell was he sitting at the end of the episode? "Managements" place?

And my DVR cut off right after that... when does Burn Notice return?

June I think.  The combination of hood and shackles and tea and biscuits was quite amusing :)

Well, that's the cliffhanger, isn't it?  Ending the season with Michael trapped in a CIA ghost prison (or equivalent) would have been tense enough, but I like the added twist of the final shot.

They really gave Sharon Gless a LOT more to do this season, and she knocked everything out of the park.  A line like "If my son wanted to kill you, you'd be dead already" is a cliche at this point, but in that situation and with that delivery, it was perfect.

More episodes in June, btw.

I'm really hoping the cliffhanger leads to more of a general twist next season - while I enjoyed the heck out of this season, I'm seriously burned out on amoral psychopath superspies who Michael has to play along with while undermining them in secret. That well is officially dry.

Part of me secretly hopes that he woke up in his new, Management-provided, base of operations - it'd be fun to watch him chafe amidst relative luxury and safety for a while.

It'd almost be worth it to see Burn Notice character captions on Prisoner archetypes.

I was thinking something different: we're going to see Michael get what he wanted: back in. And then he realises that, he'd rather be in Miami with Sam, Fiona and his mum...

That would address one of Sepinwall's complaints about the show, namely why Michael so desperately wants back in to the agency when he has a pretty good life in Miami.  Fiona's been asking that question since S2 or earlier.

FYI, there's casting news for S4 out there that sheds a little light (very little) on what's coming, if anyone wants to google it.  The character is brand new, so the only possible spoilers are in the description of the character's nature.  It sounds promising to me.
