When Breaking Bad ended last year, AMC said in a commercial it would return this summer. Bryan Cranston says it will return in July, and like almost everyone expected, the final 16 episodes will be split in half, with the last 8 airing next year. My guess is January or February. AMC hasn't confirmed the return month or the split yet.

In Vince Gilligan's Nerdist Writers Panel spotlight episode, he seemed halfway serious at the idea of doing a Saul Goodman spin-off (or maybe a character similar to Saul). And he's very much interested in doing other TV shows and movies after BB is over.

And I liked the way he characterized Walter White's arc. People complain when a character isn't likable anymore, and might get turned off the more evil Walt gets. Gilligan says even if you don't like Walt anymore (he says he and his writers don't, anymore), you could still respect his intelligence, and if you don't care about that, as long as you don't find him boring, they're doing their job.

Sometimes I'm so desperate for Breaking Bad I do searches for it on Google. This time I was seeing if we have confirmed air dates for both halves of Season 5. Nothing yet.

Aaron Paul gets burglarized twice (including his laptop), complains on Twitter, deletes it, and winds up on the Albuquerque news. He suspects it was people he invited to his home, so it's not exactly the crime wave he portrayed.

More importantly, Taiwan's Next Media Animation has a Season 5 "trailer" set to the soundtrack of Gale's karaoke session.

You could always look for fan fiction to solve your fix problem if you are really desperate.

Geez. That's awful. Ironic, given the way Jesse ran his house in-show. Still, awful.

Similar thing happened to Josh Holloway over here during the last season of LOST.

Breaking Bad season 4 gag reel.

Taiwan's Next Media Animation puts together its own interpretation of a trailer for Breaking Bad. Yeah. (Also, NSFW.)

I would love to hear more about the extended subtitled flashback origin story of Gustavo Fring. It trusts your audience a lot to have that long a sequence where only Spanish is spoken even on a sophisticated cable drama like Breaking Bad.

Two episodes left in season four, and I'll probably finish them tonight. I appreciate that the show lulls you into a sense of security and suddenly breaks into a breakneck pace where all the spinning plates seem to simultaneously crash, leaving the characters to pick up the pieces with two episodes left in the season.
