I'm sure it was the juxtapostion with Taub that exagerated it, but he looked like one of the largest people I've ever seen. Maybe no one thought his actual size/weight were realistic.

And another light but fun episode. I really like Lisa Edelstein so I was pretty much sold from the get-go.
I love Cuddy and Lisa Edelstein.
I would watch a whole season of Cuddy getting ready for work.
Me too. I think the Wilson and Cuddy episodes of this season have been my favorite.
Man, Lisa Edelstein is hot. And not just for an old chick.
I saw her at the Apple store one day and almost lost my shit.
Plus she was super nice and funny. She might move into my top 5
I need to move to LA.
Elise had some design magazine that had pictures of her and her place in it and she has a hella sweet house. I guess she's an ex-club/raver kid from what Elise was reading to me from the magazine and...damn...she coulda been a candy raver and I still would have loved that action.
Is the ass as impressive in real life? Because...wow...and I'm not even a obsessive about the ass.
As I remember, she has vague connections to the real life people portrayed in that Macaulay Culkin movie Party Monster, although she wasn't in the movie.
Yeah, she was big in the NYC club scene back in the late 80s/early 90s as 'Lisa E.'
I really, really enjoyed the Cuddy episode and wondered if they were trying to float a backdoor pilot. In a way I hope not, because I like Cuddy on the show, but I have to say it made me want more episodes about Cuddy or focused on individual characters.
This one, and the earlier Wilson-centered episode were probably my favorite episodes of the season, and I'd definitely like to see them do more along those lines.
While I, personally, wouldn't have a problem with it because I like them both, I hope y'all realize "Fourteen" is definitely a possiblity...
"Forteen" is House's nickname for the Forman/Thirteen couple.
So, everybody's been stunned into silence by the revelation that Wilson was a porn star?
With Gossip Girl, Chuck and 24 on last night I just haven't watched it yet.
I had it on as background noise while we had breakfast this morning. That was the only bit that stood out.
Oh, and a blonde Laura Prepon, I guess. Such a shame that she went blonde.
I actually more dug the storyline about Chase. It was very Jon Hamm-on-30 ROCK.
Oh, the handsomeness bubble dilemma? Yeah, that was okay. And the little bit of Cuddy flirting we had was fine too.
The Chase bit was great and I have to wonder if that came out of the old jokes that they used to play on the blooper reels when House would suddenly start telling Chase how adorable and svelte he was.
I like Chase's new haircut, and it seems like the writers have found a nice place for him in the scheme of things.
TBH, the show works a LOT better without Cameron on it. The interplay between 13 and Chase went over well, and Wilde did a nice job of selling the slight amusement, then possible annoyance of Chase asking her the questions (probably because he thought 13 was "safe" since she's bisexual). There's all sorts of subtle stuff going on lately, and it seems like the actors and writers are having a lot more fun with the show.
While it isn't as good as it once was, I'll take this over the increasing po-faced stuff we got for a while there.
I was stunned that of all the Unitarian ministers out there, House's dad would be the one who's all God-FTW and a Darwin doubter. Seriously, God is optional in Unitarianism. Perhaps as much as House is a cranky exception among doctors, House's father is a cranky exception amongst Unitarian ministers.
I just watched "Private Lives" on Hulu (my usual method for catching the show, so I'm always behind) and found it superb. It pretty much had everything I like about the show crammed* in. It actually felt almost like a two parter.Prepon was terrifc but she to disappear a bit from the episode in the second half.
*Mostly House's sense of humour, a little soap, and a decent medicla mystery is a nice touch.
Totally random observation. I'm citing the recent blogger episode in a paper I'm writing at the moment, so I pulled it up to get the producer credits for my bibliography. There are two "producers" which is really all I need, but I let the whole opening credits play through and noticed that there are like a dozen different producers of various titles and stature on this show. Now, obviously, some don't do anything (Are Bryan Singer and Hugh Laurie actually doing producer work on the show? Seems unlikely), but still, that's kind of incredible.
i shudder to think about LOST's credits.

The various kinds of 'producer' in the TV world are usually just writers, yeah? The more experienced the writer, the more executive and less associate the producer title.
IIRC, in addition to the two plain producers, there were at least three each of supervising producers, co-executive producers and executive producers. I have to assume a lot of that is just money being thrown around (Laurie, Singer), senior writers being kept happy and/or being given more administrative responsibility, or miscellaneous. I vaguely remember noticing this the last time I watched the last season of BUFFY, too; I wonder if producer credit creep is just a symptom of being on the air for a while.
Yeah, with people like Laurie and Singer, it's a money thing. But for the writers, it is just literally how the business works re job titles as you move up the experience rungs.
WHY?
Anyway, an associate producer is in charge of POST production
Exec Producers basically have the final say on money aspect
Producers tend to run the day to day
most other producer credits are "vanity credits"
Generally the longer a show goes the more likely the Leads are made into producers.
Also I take offense that "The various kinds of 'producer' in the TV world are usually just writers" Writer Producers are the backbone of TV and have lead to the kind of quality shows you like watching since the creative is working hand in hand with the Executive powers.
