I never left Dr. Brodsky's office without a syringe to play with.
And in fairness, this looks more like an accessory than an action figure.

Maybe you can trick them into making Black Lantern Static Shock.

Why the fuck is Hedorah, the Smog Monster riding Steve Jobs?

Get serious.
Pedobear is a member of Power Pack.
Did you even see that Olympics artwork? Pedobear is up in Canada hanging out with Alpha Flight. He is probably some new version of Sasquatch.
Dude, Pedobear is a native American...

A recent story over at NPR brings up this issue in regards to the TV show Chuck, but more about the sense of entitlement fans have for the things they love and just how self-defeating that attutide can be.
Say what you want about Mark Millar, but fair play to him for this
Ebay auction to have the lead character of Nemesis named after you. All proceeds go to a school for special needs kids.* Current total, $4,500 dollars, with over a day to go.
Eoin
*None of that trendy Haiti bandwagon jumping for Millar.
So? Still cool.
Aye, I know he's got a personal investment in the whole Down's Syndrome thing, but kudos for doing something for it.
I'd actually be interested in seeing him write a DS character. I wonder if it'd make him soften the veneer of ironic distance almsot everything he writes has.
Eoin
What if a guy whose real name is, say, Peter Parker, happened to win the auction?
Didn't he do something similar for Kick-Ass?
It's Bruce Wayne he needs to worry about.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a guy whose name is Warren Ellis. The violin player for the Bad Seeds certainly should have enough disposable income. If somebody here knows him, give him a call. It's for a good cause, after all.
Possibly.
It's actually not bad value for money if the comic gets turned into a movie and you want to donate money to a good cause.
Eoin
Yeah, the lead character of KICK-ASS - "Dave Lizewski"? - was from an auction too. There was an interview at CBR with the real Dave.
Fox News gets Marvel to alter Captain America #602 for future printings.
Quesada offers unnecessary mea culpa while blaming the letterer.
So wrong to back down so fast on this.
So, are there any black teabaggers?
Si,
These are the same people who voted for Bush twice. He turned a surplus into a deficit. They did not start throwing tea until a black man was elected and a stimulus plan was passed.
You could argue that Bush hid the costs of his wars and they finally woke up. But they did not do this when he pushed the bailout for banks in late September of '09. If so, they are ignorant.
You could say many of them are not supporting current Republicans who have been in office during the Bush administration. Yeah, even McCain is being challenged.
I would guess, I have no proof, that many of them are part of the "birther movement". But I can give you this:

While searching for these, I did not see any obvious ethnic minorities.
I found these pretty easy when Googling "black people Tea Parties."

I'm not going to argue the rightness or wrongness of their messages, or that the guy is wearing a cowboy hat. I'm just posting them to point out that there are black people front and center in the Tea Party movement.
No, did not. He said something like "we've been to all 40..... 7..... I wanted to visit Hawaii, but we couldn't justify it..." This was the end of a long race, he said he was tired, etc.
They think this has something to do with the 57 muslim states.
