Interesting news for US Kindle owners: If you have or order Amazon Prime you can now borrow one free book a month from Amazon. I think it's just a one-book-at-a-time-no-more-than-one-a-month thing, but it's nice. Unfortunately it's only for actual Kindle owners, not for Kindle apps on other platforms. It's also not just any book, it has to be in their lending library, but they have a few thousand books in there with a bunch of bestsellers that look interesting and stuff that actual people read.

Can only one person at a time borrow one of each book from the list though?

I doubt it... or it would be horrific if that was the way it works.  My guess is amazon will subsidize the pubs on number of hits each title gets (with Prime membership fees offsetting some of that).

No, it's all individualized. You can only borrow one book at a time, but any number of people can borrow the same book at the same time.
