Has anyone else caught The Secret Saturdays show?  I really like it, given the fact that initally I turned my nose up to it thinking it was too oriented to kids, but I can admit when I'm wrong... and I was definitely wrong.

I've also really been digging HBO's True Blood.  The last few episodes have thrown me for loops only because I thought the show dealt exclusively with vampires & not other creatures of myth & legend.

True Blood - definitely a guilty pleasure.

I'm a little irritated that the only Black guy is gay and the only Black woman is defective (with the world's worst southern accent and a drunken and abusive mom to boot!) but when I take off my militant hat, its an incredibly well-acted show and well made.  The guy that plays Lafayette should at least get an Emmy nod. . .he wont, of course, but he should.  The first season follows the book pretty closely, which spoiled the killer's identity for me. . . ok, I spoiled myself cuz I went to a bookstore and read the last chapter or so.

There's a character named Bubba in the book I hope they include in Season 2 as supposedly a vampire that was an Elvis fan took pity on Elvis and turned him right before he would have died.  He likes sucking blood from cats *giggle* and hates his true name, hence the nickname "Bubba"
