I'm going to be a guest at I-Con 27, from April 4-6 on the campus of the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
I'll likely be doing a panel or two, more on that as the programming firms up. I'm really looking forward to this, as the guest list includes two personal heroes of mine, Ray Bradbury and Harlan Ellison. Other guests announnced so far are Peter David, Billy West, Rutger Hauer, Tracy Scroggins, Tim Russ and Justice League Unlimited's Jeffrey ("The Question") Combs.

Attended by over 6,000 people each year, I-CON is a three day festival, designed to encourage literacy, creativity and interest in science and technology through science fiction and its related genres. Okay, I'll be in San Francisco Feb 22-24 for WONDERCON , as an attendee, not a guest. I may be doing an animation writing panel there though. More on that as soon as I know for sure.

Hey, Maestro, would this be a good place to recommend conventions for you or others to attend or participate in?
I heard about this combined Fantasy, Science Fantasy, & Horror convention to be held the first week of September in Minneapolis / St. Paul! Check it out!

I'd do that in "Comics." I want to make this thread a place to find out where I'm going to be and nothing else. The more additional topics in here, the harder it will be to use that way.

You're a brave man though. I would have thought twice about sitting in that corner window seat at Mels diner with all of the anti-mcduffieites that may have been in town . I waved at you as I was leaving but you probably didn't see me.

Two regrets this weekend: I didn't get to meet Grant Morrison and I didn't get to meet you. Hope you had a blast; the con was fantastic. Did Brian Jacks (formerly of Slush Factory) meet up with you?

Before jumping to any conclusions, you might want to consider that most professionals at a con don't spend a whole lot of time checking message boards. Even their own.
Beyond the business aspects (panels, meetings, etc.), there are also several hundred friends and colleagues that you only get to see a few times a year to catch up with.

Well, the board has a feature that lets you see when someone read your message (it's the time next to their name).
I'm not mad or anything. As I said, I just hope I haven't said anything that would lead Dwayne to not want to respond to me.

You're over thinking it, did you do anything offensive?
I looked at the board on my iPhone. I don't like typing on my phone (I never respond to text messages, for instance) and I didn't have a booth or table to send you to. After the Ben 10 panel I saw some people, but other than that, there was no plan.

I don't think so, but then, I didn't think I was offensive to Bakshi either, and I got reamed out at his panel :) (you can read about it in the Coonskin thread).

Actually, I couldn't make it this year. Must have gotten some wires crossed somewhere and folks thought I would be.
Looks like 2008 is going to be a convention free year for me.
