I think Thousand Sons will still come out in March. The Black Library twitter linked to a review in the past few days. I think (and I may be wrong) that TS will cover the Legion's history pre-Prospero Burns, so it shouldn't feel too horrible when the next book is due 9 months later. We'll see though.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through A Thousand Sons. Enjoying it a lot so far. There's a healthy splattering of the usual insights into the backstory of the primarchs and Emperor. I've just finished the "how do you solve a problem like librarians" section.

I keep forgetting these are out.  I haven't finished the second DA book, which I started about 6 months back now - I should probably switch to reading this now :)

I thought the second DA book was better than the first but reading up, I seem to be very alone on that one!

Right, final verdict on Thousand Sons - excellent. Brutal stuff by the end. However I'm now significantly less enthused about Prospero Burns, as it's just the same events from the Space Wolves side. I guess I should trust the Abnett, but still...

Finished A Thousand Sons yesterday, and I'm still not entirely sure what I think about it.  There's plenty of excellent work in it, and McNeill is excellent with the more fantastical elements, and handles the large battles well.  I liked the idea, from the earlier books, that a grave mistake on Magnus's part drew the wrath of the Emperor, but the backstory that was added in changed who Magnus was.  In fact, from the point where this backstory was revealed the book didn't feel the same as it did prior, and turned it from being a great book to being just a good book.
